I attended the University of Nevada, Reno. I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics. I truly enjoyed my time at the university and have not left Reno, because of the fantastic environment. Go Pack!

After Graduating from UNR I was hired as a high school math teacher at Pyramid Lake Jr./Sr. High School (PLHS). This was a small Native American school about 45 minutes away from Reno. Because of the size, I was the only high school math teacher and therefore the head of the math department. I designed the curriculum, assessments, and delivered the lessons for 4 different math courses for 5 years. My time at PLHS taught me how to work with different learning styles, at-risk or impoverished students, and students with special accommodations. 

After leaving PLHS during the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to leave the country and moved to Japan. I lived and taught English in the city of Sapporo, on the northernmost Japanese island of Hokkaido. I loved my new adventure, and I believe the challenge has made me an even better teacher and tutor. 

I have now returned to the area I love so much. I will provide a range of opportunities to meet with your student. From online lessons to in-person meetings in our Reno office. We'll choose the setting that maximizes both convenience and successful learning outcomes. If your child is not understanding their math curriculum, allow me to show them a fun and new alternative way to learn the beauty of mathematics.
